Installation with underfloor heating
BambooTouch® flooring can be laid without problems with conventional underfloor heating systems (so-called 'dry' and 'wet' underfloor heating), provided always the system in question operates at low temperature (maximum 27°C).
Bamboo has major advantages over conventional wood flooring in the case of underfloor heating:
We strongly recommend using a flooring installer who is fully familiar with the rules to follow when installing flooring with an underfloor heating system.
These rules must be communicated clearly to the end user, as improper use will cause damage to the flooring and the installer will then be held liable.
The humidity level in rooms with flooring laid over underfloor heating systems must be kept at between 50 and 60 % in order to limit the extent to which the flooring dries out. An air humidifier is recommended in some instances.
BambooTouch® floorings are supplied with a moisture content between 6 and 9.5%.
Bamboo has major advantages over conventional wood flooring in the case of underfloor heating:
- Bamboo is an excellent heat conductor: it allows a good transfer of heat (R=0.072K/w).
- Bamboo has particularly high stability
- Bamboo has little sensitivity to changes in temperature
- Manufacture in cross-ply layers ensures complete stability
